Subject: FW: NOBS WORLD FEBRUARY 18TH 2015

Good morning to everyone across the NOBS World; where ever you are.  As you can see, winter has set in at the World Headquarters, leaving the building to look like a Hudson's Bay outpost.  Having said that; we received word from Neil Alexander, somewhere near Dog River Saskatchewan scoffing at us for cancelling last Sundays touch saying that with that kind of weather they are pulling out the lawn chairs and barbeques.  Well I say, good for them!

Touch is back on this Sunday, as we expecting a balmy -5c, with a cloudy, sun mix.

Spring can't be too far off, as the NOBS make their annual trip to Ft. Lauderdale this coming weekend.  This year there will be a target on their back as they return as the defending division champions.  Go get em, boys!!

Now a little something new for our NOBS newsletter.  Starting this week and into the future, our newsletter will be coming out on Wednesday.  What it means now, is that there is a noon cutoff date on Wednesday if you wish to have something included in our weekly report.  Of course; from time to time there will be late breaking news, that requires us to send out something, like last week when touch was cancelled.

Some Dome news for those of you who play Thursdays.  We will be in the dome,#2, Thursdays at 7pm, until the end of March.  Starting April 2nd we will be in dome#1.  I am being told that tentatively we will be starting at 8pm.  Not sure what the last week is, but we will be playing at least the first 4 Thursdays.  I will get final word on the starting times and our last week.  At this time, I have received no word on the Tuesday plans.  Stay tuned.

I am sure most of you have noticed we did not have league play in the dome this year on Thursdays.  We will be holding a year end tournament on the last 2 weeks of the season.  Week 1 will see us divide into 4 squads and play 3 games, as is our usual format.  Scores will be kept and at the end of the evening we will determine the playoffs for the last week.  In week two, two games will be played simultaneously to start the evening with 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd.  The losing teams will square off first, using the full field, each team gets 6 touches of the ball before turning it over, either by kicking it away or being touched.  After that it will be the Championship game featuring, the two remaining squads.  As we get closer to the event we will send out the laws for the full field games.  Remember gang; be nice.

Talk is underway about going to the Golden Oldies in Cardiff Wales, August 21st to 28th 2016.  I know a number of people have already expressed interest going, but if you would like to add your name to the list contact Craig Morley at camorley09@gmail.com  .

Ok, one last thing.  It's time to cash in your bets on where our Jimmy [who is on holiday in Spain] would catch the 6 Nations games.  For those of you who took the generous odds of 5 to 1 it would be anywhere but an Irish pub; sorry.  The house cleaned up on this one.

That's it.  See on the pitch Sunday, Da Thug
