REGISTRATION

Just another reminder that season is almost upon us, and  so far registration for our playing side has been thin.  Come out tomorrow and see Chris Mant who is taking care of this.  If you can’t be there tomorrow, contact Chris with your intentions at chrismant@me.com .  Cost of playing is $200, while a social membership is $100.  Sleep better; give.  Da Thug

IMPORTANT UPDATE, "PLEASE READ"

I  have been asked to pass this message on about tonight’s touch.   Due to already poor field conditions and the heavy rain we have already had today at Sherwood Forest Park; touch for tonight only, has been cancelled.

NOBS WORLD APRIL 29TH 2014 "AND SO IT BEGINS"

….. and so it begins.  This Sunday we have the first game of the season.  1:30 at the Cru, it’s an all comers affair.  A chance to dust off the boots and shake off the cob webs.  The action will continue on May 25th at East York Collegiate as the GITS host an East / West classic at 1pm.  Should be a great game, at a great venue and a post-game event, second to none.

Touch has now moved outside and tonight things get under way at 6:30pm in the dead zone in the east end of the pitch.   Thursday, same place, same time.

Starting next Thursday, May 8th, we have soccer field #3, which is the most western field, along the south side of Fairview.  We are required to pay a rental for this field, so we will be charging on Thursdays a $5 match fee.  The fee is well worth it, giving us a good pitch to run on.  I have been notified that the availability of the field may change, depending on the weather.  Stay tuned.

Don’t forget that registration is underway.  Don’t let the rain today put you off coming out for touch.  We battled the elements in a record setting winter, so a little rain is nothing.

See you out for touch, Da Thug

NOBS WORLD APRIL 25TH 2014

The Dome season officially came to an end last evening, with the playing of the Gnome Cup.  Starting next Tuesday and Thursday we are outside, starting at 6:30pm, to take advantage of the light.  Right now we are still concerned with the field conditions and availability.  Vice President and resident “BIG” thinker Kevin Bloska, has suggested that you bring along running shoes, in case we have to use the abandoned tennis courts.

This Sunday is also the last Sunday on the artificial surface.  That gets under way at 1pm.

Registration is now under way.  $200 for our playing side.  $100 social.

We have received word that our first game will be May 4th.  Details have yet to be worked out; stay tuned.

May 25th, the GITS will be hosting a game at East York Collegiate.

As our Emperor would say; “start thinking about the season!”

See you Sunday, Da Thug.

Good Afternoon All,

The social and registered player dues this year will be $100 and $200 respectfully. Social membership is included in the $200 for the contact players. Registration will be held in the clubhouse Thursday, April 24 and May 1st., as well as Sunday, April 27th, after the touch run-around.

We have made arrangements to coordinate fundrasing donations at the same time as registration. For those that are able to donate, please make your cheques payable to Rugby Canada in a minimum amount of $100.

This is a link to the fillable registration form for contact players:

FW: April 12, 2014 "WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES; ANOTHER OPENS"

REMEMBER THE GOOD OLD DAYS?

NOT YET?

This Saturday at 7:30 in the Centaurs Clubhouse, the magic is about to be relived.

There will be music and dancing and all kinds of fun.  So if you’re a bit too young to have experienced the happening; here’s your chance.  Don’t forget there will be plenty of tunes from the 70’s.

You won’t want to miss this!

Craig.  Can you please distribute.  Thanks.

Hi everyone

As you know, the dinner/dance has been canceled but we have a back-up plan.  There is a 70's/80's night planned at the Burlington Clubhouse on Saturday, April 12 with John Leckie spinning the platters for your musical enjoyment.  (This is not a dress-up).

There will be light nibblies (peanuts, chips, etc.).

Hope to see you there--come out and enjoy the evening!

Bob and John
