Subject: FW: NOBS Sport Ngin Registration,  2015 DUES, FRANCONIA

Good morning to everyone is the NOBS World; where ever you are.  The season is getting closer and it's time to pay your 2015 dues.  The email below has the email address where you can sign up as a playing member and how you can pay your taxes to the crown.  To simplify things, to pay your dues to the ORU/CRU you register online and pay at the time of signing up.  The cost is $90.  We all must pay a social membership as well and that is $100.  Please do not pay that online but directly to Rolf.  As Rolf says, "NOBS club dues and donations are still collected manually in the bar over a beer."    I have been asked to remind everyone that Franconia is just 5 weeks from this coming Saturday, June 6th.  If you're interested, contact Chuck Schandl at chuckschandl@gmail.com    Touch outside tonight at 6:30 and Sunday at 1pm.  See you on the pitch, Da Thug

Rugby Canada registration  $45.00
Rugby Ontario registration $45.00

The above MUST now be paid on line.
Eric has set up the NOBS web site to facilitate the payments.
Just follow the prompts ? or ask Eric as he has already paid
on line via our set up. And it works ! the money came straight
out of his bank account.

NOBS Club membership

For 2015 no change STILL $100.00

(No tax increases and we hope to balance the budget by 2050)
Will not be my problem by then.

Rugby Canada donations are still being accepted (SEE ME)

Social Membership ???? $25.00 Check with Chuck / Kevin. but
I think it was to be determined on an individual basis and more
strictly applied.

see ya soon (next week)

Craig be sure to emphasise that this is only for RC and RO
dues  ($45 + $45 = $90).

Re: Larry

Good evening to everyone in the NOBS World.  Our great friend and teammate Larry Doyle is not well.  Larry has experience some complications and has had to have surgery.  His daughter has sent along an email giving us an update on her dad.  I have been asked that we give the family some space and hold off on calling them.  We will be getting an update and will let you know.

My mom asked if I would send you an update on things with my dad.

As you are probably aware my dad had an infection in his blood that lead to an infection in his heart and heart valve.

He had a surgery yesterday to replace the heart valve.  They initially had difficulty getting the bleeding under control. They took him back to the OR late lastnight and were able to get everything stabilized. They plan to keep him asleep for the next 24-48hrs to give his body a rest. I will definitely send an update tomorrow.

Fwd: Tuesday Touch

As you can see, we had great weather on Sunday for touch, and the numbers out let us have 2 games running at the same time.  After the run around the clubhouse balcony was packed.  We'll do it all again next Sunday!!

Speaking of touch, Chuck has asked me to pass this message on to the masses, concerning Tuesday touch.

See you in the Dome and next Sunday, Da Thug

Craig please distribute the following. Jack advises there was some grumbling.

Because of the short notice, but mainly because of the pissing and moaning,  this Tuesday will be an open evening as usual in the dome.  However the last Tuesday in the dome (the 21st) will be dome seasonally paid up players only.

Regards,

Chuck

Good morning to everyone in the NOBS World; where ever you are on this wet April morning.  It's time to "START THINKING ABOUT THE SEASON".   Hopefully sometime next month , the powers to be will give the word that we can get back on the pitch and the games to begin.  In the meanwhile; touch is on every Sunday in Burlington at 1pm;  and it's never too  early to start on your fitness.  Mark Platt is exempt, as his lack of training seems to have turned him into a scoring machine!!

I have received word that the cost of the 2015 subs will be coming out shortly, so something to look forward to.  Sleep well at night and get them paid up ASAP.

Word has also come from the mighty XL'S to keep the weekend of June 6th open for their annual rugby trip to Franconia New Hampshire.  More on this when it becomes available.

There are still more weeks of Thursday touch in Dome #1, starting at 8PM.  Two more weeks of Tuesdays which are still at 7PM, also in Dome 1.

That's it, see you on the pitch Sunday, Da Thug

Subject: NOBS WORLD APRIL 1ST. EASTER EGG HUNT, DOME TIME CHANGES, TOUCH SUNDAY,  2015 Crusaders Rugby Man's Dinner

Good afternoon to everyone across the NOBS World, 1st of April and the Easter Weekend is almost upon us.  Speaking of Easter, the Burlington Centaurs annual Easter Egg Hunt is on this Saturday, on the main pitch.  Organizers are asking you to bring the kiddies along for 10:30 am , with the hunt to be unleashed at 11.

Keeping with the April theme, the Dome times on Thursday, as well as the location have changed.  Starting April 2nd we are in Dome#1, starting at 8pm, until our final evening April 23rd.  Tuesday evenings we will continue to start at 7pm; but we will also be moving to Dome #1.

Don't forget touch is on this Sunday, at 1pm, as it is every week.

Fellow NOB, Ravi Ponnambalam wants to let you know that April 10th is the Crusader's Rugby Man's Dinner at the Cru.  Sounds like a great evening, with some special guests.  Contact site is below, but don't delay, tickets are going fast.

That's it for now.  Have yourself and your family a great weekend, Da Thug

Craig,

As promised here's the note for the Rugby man's dinner on Friday April 10th.

I was told earlier this morning that there were 10 more spots and we're going fast!

I have also copied Steve Eastwood on this and if any interest they could go to him direct!

Cheers

Ravi
