GNOME BOWL – New Year's Day – January 1^st @ 11:30 am

 

 

·       Annual New Year's Day touch tournament open only to Centaur alumni, Sr Men, Women, NOBS, Jr's(16 and older)‎ and their families. 

 

·       All participants should be in Dome 1 at 11:30 am for the selection of teams.  First game is at noon. Tournament is finished by 3:00 pm. 

 

·       Bring a dark AND white T-shirt and $5 minimum donation. All money collected goes to the Dave Burnett Memorial Scholarship‎.

Looking for a fun way to stay active over these cold winter months?

 

The Centaurs Rugby Club has the answer with our Indoor Rugby Winter Skills Sessions.

 

Saturday afternoons starting on January 16^th for minis 5 to 14 years old

 

And our new high school Indoor Rugby Sessions starting on January 5^th is a great way to prepare for the outdoor High School season.

 

NOBS WORLD; BOXING DAY UPDATE.

Good afternoon to everyone in the NOBS World; where ever you are.  Some late breaking news for the Boxing Day run around; but first an important announcement.

 

Ann and Eric Andrae, would like to announce the birth of their son; Scott Anthony Andrae, on Monday, December 21^st.  Congratulations to you both.

 

The Centaurs, as earlier announced will be holding their Boxing Day runaround at 1pm this Saturday.  The NOBS RFC are encouraging all members to come out for a post-Christmas run, and then up to the club house for some drinks and food.  Hope you can make it.

 

Remember there is no touch, this coming Sunday the 27^th.  Touch resumes on Sundays, Jan 3^rd.

FW: Christmas Eve Carols at the Rugby Club & Holiday Events

Good morning , and a Merry Christmas to everyone in the NOBS World; where ever you are. I have received an email from the Centaurs with all the times and dates, for the upcoming events over the holiday period.  Some other notes, as mentioned to me yesterday; by no less than Kevin Bloska.  This Tuesday is the last evening in the dome, until January 5^th.  Next weekend, we will be joining the Centaurs for the annual Boxing Day runaround, at 1pm.  There is no touch on Sunday December 27^th.  Touch will resume on Sunday January 3^rd.

 

I received a note from our old friend Barry Hyslop, from deep in the American south.

·       1:00 to 2:00 pm       - Come early before the carols and bring the kids to meet with SANTA!

 

·       2:00 to 5:00 pm       - Annual Christmas Carols at the Rugby Club and sing-along with Cye Beechey

 

Boxing Day Runaround – Saturday, December 26^th

MERRY CHRISTMAS FRON THE NOBS RFC

 

Merry Christmas from the NOBS RFC. 

This Sunday, we will be having our annual Christmas Touch run at 1pm.  Whether you’re playing or not, come on down for some Christmas cheer and treats.

 

Dec 24^th will see the Centaurs Christmas Carol sing along in their clubhouse.  Times TBA.  Dec 26^th will be the Boxing Day touch event and Jan 1^st , the touch tournament in the dome.

Thank you to all those involved in the Burlington Santa Claus Parade yesterday.

 

The Centaurs float did a great job at representing Rugby in the parade.

 

REMINDER – Centaurs AGM TOMORROW AT 7:00 PM (See details below)

 

 

 

 

 

You are formally invited and given notice to attend the Burlington Centaurs RFC Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 8^th at 7:00 pm upstairs at the Burlington Rugby Club located at Sherwood Forest Park.

 

All registered members are strongly encouraged to put forth your ideas and determine the direction of the future of the club. Your input and votes are extremely important towards the growth of the club.

 

The Nominations Board for club positions for 2016 has been posted upstairs in the clubhouse. Nominations must be seconded by voting members in good standing.

 

During the AGM will review the Director’s reports of the club and the Club Positions will be voted upon.

 

From Section IV of the Club Constitution the club positions to be voted upon include:

 

·       The President

·       Director of Administration

·       Director of Finances

·       Director of Facilities

·       Director of Social

·       Director of Games

·       Director of Men’s Rugby

·       Director of Women’s Rugby

·       Director of Junior Development

 

All voting and social members are encouraged to attend. From Section III of the Club Constitution:

 

d) A Social Member shall be a non-playing member interested in furthering the objects of the club but will not be entitled to vote at general meetings. ($25 social membership fee – included in NOBS dues)

 

e) A Voting Member shall be a non-playing member interested in furthering the objects of the club including being eligible to vote at general meetings. ($75 voting membership fee – included in Club dues)

 

If you are unable to attend and you are a voting member in Good Standing please fill out the attached proxy vote and email vote@centaursrfc.com
