Subject: Match Info Saturday

Craig, can you please forward to the masses, thanks.

Guys, below are directions for the tourney on Saturday. We kick off our first game at 9:45. It promises to be a great day of rugby. For those that have responded thank you, but I still need to hear from others. This is an opportunity to play against teams we haven't played and hopefully result in additional fixtures for our 2016 season. That will only be possible if everyone not injured, in England at the World Cup etc. is out on Saturday.
Here is a link to our field (the green marker on the map). You can input the address 119 Durham St., Cobourg,ON to your GPS as well.

I have 12 players who have paid their deposit for  the tour.  I'm  attaching the proposal .  Can you try again with younger players from NOBS, Niagara and XL's. I'll also take folks who just want to tour.

Many thanks

Colin

Another great day.  Tremendous turnout, with great completion and great weather.  The GITS entry was the winner of the event.

Thanks to all who helped make the day great, Mike, Chuck, Rolf, Dave, Yohan and Kevin.  Well done everyone.

On Sunday we also introduced the new flags, to mark the pitch.  They will come with both NOBS and Centaurs flags, depending on the day.

I was asked on Tuesday, that due to the ever de-creasing day light that we make an effort to come out for touch at 6pm and begin as soon as we have suitable numbers.

That's it!  Da Thug

NOBS WORLD SEPTEMBER 19th 2015

Full day at the World Cup, with a very exciting Japanese victory!

Tomorrow is the NOBS 10's and to all NOBS players, bring your Yellow and Green jerseys.  For those playing touch, a light and dark shirt.  Don't forget things get underway at noon.

Now back to the World Cup.  Our man in the U.K. Alan Lloyd has been sending some great photos.  Look what celebrity he bumped into today.

The Emperor while taking in the Canada/Ireland match.  Below is a email from our old Irish friend, Mike Moroney .  I am sure he enjoyed today's match, but Mike has a hard road ahead.  We will be thinking about you Mike.

See you tomorrow, Da Thug

FW: Centaurs and NOB's - Charity Indoor Skydiving Oct 17th and 18th

Here’s an interesting charitable event from Mike Olney

From: Mike

Hi Craig, Nick

Wondered if you may be interested in either organising some club level participation or just forwarding to the masses, this charity event. If we put a team together through the rugby club we could cash in on some free promotion for the club. Saturday evening is an athletic themed night so it could be good to book in then, but the Sunday would work just as well.

Indoor Skydiving for a great cause. Woodview is a local agency that provides services to individuals with mental health issues and autism. They've partnered with iFLY Toronto, an indoor skydiving tunnel here in Oakville to raise funds that will go directly towards their programs and services provided. On October 17th and 18th 75% of your purchases will go to Woodview. Visit http://www.iflyforwoodview.ca for more information about the event and the agency.

Feel free to share this with friends and family- anyone you know who might be interested in trying out indoor skydiving. You do need to meet the flight criteria (see www.iflyforwoodview.ca), but children as young as 4 can fly and there's no age cap as long as you're daring enough. Let me know and I'll see about getting it booked.

I've attached the event flyer and the corporate team building flyer that you can share with whoever is on the relevant committee if we need some heads put together at the club before sending out such an email or for organizing. If you want to pass on my contact info  regarding any sort of team event  please do so (905 802 3429)  Thanks

Mike

FW: Larry Doyle Memorial 10-a-side Rugby Festival-Sunday September 20

From: Charles Schandl

Please join us this Sunday for a festival of Old Boys rugby in memory of a legend in the rugby community, Larry Doyle. There will be contact and touch games, awards and prizes, tall tales of rugby lore, a glass or two raised in Larry's honor, dinner and much more.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A REGISTERED PLAYER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURNAMENT. We have purchased event insurance for the day and so all participants, registered or not, are covered by the Canada Rugby insurance plan.

Touch will start at noon, and we ask all interested participants to be there at 11:45 so teams can be put together. Numbers permitting, we plan to have a touch tournament with awards to the winning side.

Contact tournament starts at 1:00 so please be there no later than 12:30 if you plan to participate in this. Winning team to receive the Larry Doyle memorial trophy!

Dinner and speeches in the clubhouse immediately after the rugby is finished.

The weather forecast is calling for a perfect day so lets see everyone out on Sunday and make sure you bring your Larry stories!

This years 10's will be a special occasion, as we re-name the tournament in honour of Larry Doyle. The Doyle family will be on hand, to honour the day.
