Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen where ever you are in the Nobs World on this last weekend in June! Let’s start things off with congratulations to the family of Neil Alexander. Neil’s wife gave birth to a 6lb, 9oz baby girl; Samantha Jane. Neil reports “mum and daughter are doing fine and are at home already. I am a bit frayed around the edges though!” This weekend there is a game at the home of Balmy Beach RFC. Kickoff is at 1pm and carpooling from Burlington departs at 11:30am. Don’t forget touch is also on this Sunday at 1pm as it is every Sunday in Burlington. The weekend of July 8th could be a busy one. Friday the 8th is the first leg of our soccer fixtures. Mr. Guilfoyle has provided us with details below. Saturday the 9th there is a game with the Welsh Old boys to be held at 12pm at Eglinton Flats. All are invited to come out. More details are to follow. The next day, the 10th we travel to Brampton for a 1pm kickoff with the mighty XL’S. Cricket has been confirmed for August 14th with Larry Doyle at the helm and last but not least; golf has been confirmed for August the 20th. See Jack Morrison to get your name on the list to play. To close out, don’t forget the service for Dave Swift at 2pm at the Burlington Cultural Center, on Monday June 27th. See you on the pitch, Da Thug
