FW: DAVE SWIFT

Ladies and gentlemen, word has come to me on the health of our old friend Dave Swift.  Dave was a great contributor on and off the field for the Nobs.  Dave’s wife Liz sent the email below and Bob Cunningham has forwarded it on to us.  Unfortunately I do not have Liz’s email so you can forward emails to Bob at bobles1@cogeco.ca and Bob can pass them on for you.   Craig

Hi Craig,

Dave entered the Carpenter Hospice this morning and the general length of stay is 10 days. You can certainly put it out to the NOBS. Liz wants people to send her any memories of Dave that can be used at his Celebration.

This is an excerpt from another 'mass mailing' that I recently sent out to overseas friends. Haven't got very far with those in N America yet, but would appreciate it if you would spread the word down at the club.

 

'Sometime in the future, we will be arranging a 'Celebration of Dave's life' , in other words,

a wake. I would like to have a collection of friends' memories available to show then, and for our family to keep. If you have a special memory of Dave that you would like to share, please will you e-mail it to me.'
