5. AUGUST 21 Buffalo RFC
I heard from Chris Seiler of Lockport that Buffalo RFC is celebrating their 50th this summer with a weekend of matches, picnics, etc planned for Aug 19-21. They will be hosting an over 50's friendly on Sunday Aug 21st. The Lockport O50 side - LARDASS - will be taking on Buffalo (time TBA, most likely 12-1pm) at Delaware Park. There will be a barbecue and plenty of beverages flowing throughout the day. If any NOBS would like to join in the fun and get a game in we'd love to have you come down. Please pass my email address on to anyone interested, thanks --

If anybody wants more information let me know and I will pass on contact information, Phil
6. VISITING MIKE MORONEY
Last week I passed on some information regarding Mike Moroney. David followed up with Elaine Moroney regarding visitors. David is suggesting if you are able to visit Mike it would be appreciated. But best to coordinate, Please see Elaine’s email below….
Hello, Dave:
Thanks for getting in touch with me about visiting Mike. I asked him if he’d like to see some of the NOBS crowd and he nodded yes. He is needing to sleep more so there are just a few windows when people drop in to see him. I also have to warn the guys that he speaks very little and his facial expressions are very limited by parkinsons as well as the brain tumour. But he is still Mike and he understands more than he says and he still recognizes people. He has some time between 11:00 and noon when they take him in for lunch. There is also a bit of time after his supper between 6:00 and 7:00 when I am usually there. I don’t think he can handle more than 2 or 3 visitors at a time. If people could call me when they are thinking of visiting Mike I could let them know if there are family in town and what would be a better time. Right now our son is here until Sunday afternoon. I know this sounds complicated but I would like Mike and his friends to get the most out of a visit while he is still aware.
Sunrise is on the west side of Erin Mills Parkway just north of Burnamthorpe and just south of the 403.
The best way to reach me is on my cell phone 905-601-8756.
I very much hope some of the NOBS can make it in. It has been such an important part of his life.
Best,
Elaine
