NOBS News: Walk For ALS - Craig "the Thug" Morley

The rugby community is one that is hard to explain to people.  They can’t quite figure out how you can be fiercely competing and stomping on each other then once the whistle goes you become one team sharing the same experience (although with opposing viewpoints!).  As we all know, RUGBY is not just a sport it is the shared experiences, friendships and the diversity of people that make it so much more than a game.  On that note, as you know Craig Morley a longtime member and “caretaker” of the NOBS was diagnosed with ALS on September 15/17.  Craig and his wife Tracy have asked me to reach out to our membership on Craig’s behalf, please read below.

As you know Craig was diagnosed with ALS on September 15/17.  It is a journey we never imagined that we would take but here we are!  We are getting through this with help from CCAC, McMaster ALS clinic, ALS society of Canada and our many friends and family.

Playing rugby was such an important part of Craig’s life, not just for the game but more for the commaraderie. During his hospital stay and now at home he looks very forward to his visits from his NOBS buddies.

I am taking part in a 5k walk to help raise funds for the ALS society. These funds go to research and also to help families like ours defray some of the costs of equipment that is needed for our loved ones.

I have attached the link to my sponsor page in the hopes that I may get some sponsorship from some of the NOBS.

Craig and I would truly appreciate if you can forward.

Thank you very much,

Tracy and Craig Morley

THIS LINK WILL TAKE YOU DIRECTLY TO THE SPONSORSHIP PAGE…..
