Fw: Game in Peterborough, Sunday, October 20th...

Don't miss out on a chance to bond with your GIT mates.  I was told that last years fixture was a rocking, socking event and the GITS would love to have you along to bolster their numbers.  Let Ray know at rayhopkin@gmail.com.  We have no fixture this season with the Krock's, so don't miss this opportunity.  Da Thug

So we have 10 confirmed, 25 have declined, and I'm waiting on another 12 to decide...

WE NEED YOU!!! Please, those 12, confirm asap, and can everyone please start seeing if any lads want to come out, I don't want to go up to Peterborough short, nor up there with the bare 15! If anyone knows a buddy that wants a game, drag them out. For those 12 who haven't responded yet, can you please do so asap so I can see who's coming and if we have the numbers. If anyone declined because they are sitting on the fence, or they just don't feel like playing, please reconsider!

A call to arms from Boyo to the troops to help out the Gits cause - don't disappoint!

I'm making the call early, as the people who have responded have said they are only available on Sunday, and I've not heard from anyone stating they would prefer Saturday.

So, the game is on Sunday, 1pm. I have room for 2 people in my car (although Balls isn't allowed in my car, and maybe someone who can read a map...) and can pick you up at either the Coxwell or Woodbine subway stations, and Jerry Marriott has room for 3, and you'll have to contact him for pick-up places (Jerry.Marriott@nbc.ca).

Anyone else have spaces for car pooling? We currently have 8 confirmed, 15 declined and still waiting on the rest, nice to have 12 more! - please respond asap!!

So our game is under-way against the Krocks this Sunday at 1pm. Please respond to Teamer asap!

There is some discussion points, that you can see from the following email from the Krocks:

A bit of an early confirmation but i did want to give you the heads-up that we have no OKtoberfest event planned this year, so the fixture is Sun. Oct. 20th---GITs @ Krocks.
(you may recall we batted about a possible Sat. fixture and an Oktoberfest party afterwards).

Now, with our men's team knocked out of the McCormick consolation, there probably wouldn't be any conflict to use the field on Sat. the 19th is that works better for you guys?
The clubhouse is fully open and fully operational----hot showers/cold beer + great food & camaraderie (sp?)

Thanks,

EH

So, two points, first, do we want to move the game to a Saturday? Please reply to this email, allowing everyone to see it so we can start the discussion. It doesn't matter to me either way, but I think if we are to move it to Saturday, I think it's fair to let the Krocks know by Wednesday/Thursday. I would want at least 20 guys to confirm that they are available to play on Saturday by Thursday morning, otherwise it'll stay as a Sunday game, no ifs or buts.

Second point, if anyone is interested in taking a bus, or mini-bus, please be my guest, and organize it, because I won't. If someone organizes it, great, if not, use this thread to try and car pool!

Finally, the plans are gathering pace with the Gits end of year awards shin-dig. It'll be on November 15th at the Kilt & Harp, with Karaoke and games happening. I have sent out a FaceBook invite, and a Teamer invite, hopefully we'll see everyone out!

Yet another fantastic year, let's end on a high note!
