Good evening rugby fans all across the NOBS World. Time to catch up on a few things.
The Six Nations are now in full flight, with all three games this Saturday and Sunday, being shown in the Centaur's clubhouse. There is a change in plans for this Sunday's touch run. To match up with the Ireland vs. England game being shown at 10am; we will be running touch for this Sunday at noon. If we decide to change the times for future dates we will let you know.
A Welsh friend of mine noted that were always changing things to accommodate the English! No bad blood there.
So, you're probably wondering; how did the AGM go. Well there was the usual griping and moaning, then we got things under way. I won't bother you with all the details; so here goes the high light's.
- Our president for the past 4 years, Chris Mant; has stepped down to pursue a job opportunity in British Columbia. Thanks for all of your hard work Chris and hope all goes well for you in the new job.
- With Chris's departure, there was an opening that had to be filled. After much lobbying, arm twisting, and back room deals, we now have the second coming of Pope John Noble as our new leader.
-Vice President, Craig Morley
-Secretary, Jack Morrison
-Treasurer, Rolf Thomas
-Fixtures, Peter Allen
-The members at large has a slightly different look this year, with Kevin Bloska and Gary Hesmer, joining returning members, Jason Leek and Dave Tait. Welcome aboard lads.
The only big news, beside the new; Classic NOBS, retro toques,[now on sale for $15] is that we are starting to plan for a NOBS tour to the World Cup in England in the fall of 2015. We are in the early planning stages right now, but hope to have more news on this in the near future.
That's all for now, but don't forget touch this Sunday at noon following the 6 Nations game. See you on the pitch, Da Thug
