NOBS 30 ANNIVERSARY WORLD, JUNE 13TH "ODDS & SODS'

Good morning rugby fans, all across the Nobs World.  Great fixture out in Markham,

more on that at the end.

This weekend there are 2 rugby games options for everyone.  At Sunnybrook this Sunday

There is a game at 1pm.  Everything you need to know is in an email below from

Ray “Boyo” Hopkin.  Yes; another Welshmen!

If you plan to attend, Ray would like to hear from you so that he can confirm the fixture

for you.  He can be found at rayhopkin@gmail.com.

Longtime friend of the Nobs; Frank Tobol has invited everyone down to Branford, this

Saturday at 1:30 to participate in a charity Oldboy’s match.  Frank can be reached at

ftombol@danlawrie.com

Of course touch is on in Burlington, Sunday as usual at 1pm.  Something for everyone!

For those of you going to the Canada, Italy International this Sunday it has been

suggested we wear our Nobs Green Jerseys, t-shirts, golf shirts, etc.;  and sit together

in a sea of green!

Our beloved Emperor for life, Mel Crossfield has informed me that he is looking for players

for the two upcoming Nobs soccer fixtures, July 13th and August 10th.  Mel can be reached

at melcrossfield@cogeco.ca.  All are invited to play, so don’t let talent get in your way!

That’s about all for now; but I can hear you all saying, “what about Markham?”

The Nobs travelled east last Sunday to scuffle with the Grey Hares/ Lions.  It was

A fine day for rugby, with the now Markham irrigated pitch in beautiful shape.

Both sides had a full complement of players and subs standing by.  In a familiar

pattern, the Nobs jumped out into a lead, only to have the opposition get back

into the game and tie things up.  The Nobs held the lead throughout the game,

but the home side tied it up late in the game.  Both sides had a last chance at the

ball, but when referee Leon Racine blew the final whistle nothing had been

resolved.  Next game up for the Nobs is at home Sunday June 24th as we

host for their first visit ever to play us; the Gits!  See you at the International

Friday, Da Thug.

Take it away Ray…..

Great game today! Bloody bouncy ball! Anyway, Gits vs World XV (All-Comers), at Sunnybrook, 1pm, June 17th.

Okay, we need to know who is coming to this game! Please respond if you're coming, and pass this onto anyone else

who isn't on this email list!

We'll need numbers as it's a Fathers Day weekend, so we'll be missing some guys.

Remember that after the game we go to The Kilt & Harp for a drink, and then head down to the Beaches Rib Fest,

all members of the family are welcome, as this should be a proper fathers day!!

Cheers, Boyo.

Thanks, Ray Hopkin.
