Good day Ladies and Gentlemen.

Just a note to bring everyone up to date with what is going on at Centaurs World.

This Saturday, the 6 Nations is back with Italy taking on France at 9:30 and Wales vs. Ireland at 12:00.   Sunday, England entertaining Scotland in the Calcutta Cup at 11:00.  Sadly we have been forced to cancel our newly discovered lower cost feed.  Premium Sports advised us we were using an illegitimate feed as they have sole rights to publish this event in Canada as PPV.  Please take a moment to read the attached letter from our club president.

Next Saturday March 19th will be the final day and it is a triple header - bring your own headache medicine!  however there should be some excellent rugby to watch and quite a lot at stake for the competing teams.  Scotland vs. Italy at 10:30, Ireland vs. England at 1:00 and France vs. Wales at 3:45  Why so late you ask - our day light saving time begins March 13th, Europe is at the end of the month.

Senior Men's practices have begun in earnest and the new coaching tiumvate led by Lee (Fester) Stallan, with Stuart Riley and Chris (Alfie) Alford leading the way.  7:00 in the gym, then into the dome at 8:00.  The final decision regarding Ontario league formats has now been made and we will be in a NRU league this season.  This presents a fantastic opportunity to win the league and play for promotion back into the Ontario leagues again - Let's do it!

The women have, courtesy of the BYSC, secured a better field for Thursday practices this year, it is a bit of a jog to get to, but will be a worthwhile improvement.  Details on training have not yet been released.  They are recruiting for players, so if you know any lady interested in coming out to play rugby, get them interested in Centaurs rugby now.

The junior division is now out from hibernation and we can expect a significant activity in getting their 20-11 campaign into high gear in the next few weeks.  Mike Howes and his team will be pushing hard to fulfill Boy's u18, u16, u14, Girls u19, u17 and the Mini's programs.

We are still researching On-line registration and the only reason for the delay is there are potential changes at the Rugby Canada and ITSportsnet (the database provider) that could impact our decision.

The next Social Event is St. Patrick's Day which just happens to fall on Thursday A.K.A. Practice Day this year.  We will celebrate the great Irish saint in style after practice or maybe a little before in the clubhouse.  The wearing of something GREEN is MANDATORY!

That is the news for this month.
