Good afternoon to everyone in the NOBS World, on this beautiful last day of May.
Just a reminder to everyone of this Sundays plans. Touch is on at noon in Burlington, and that will be followed with a match against Cobourg. This is the first match with our Lake Ontario brothers, so let’s make this a good showing. Scouting reports that have been filtering in to us here at the NOBS World headquarters, have reported that this side will be a young, tough group, hardened by their bouts with Kingston, Belleville and of course the Krocks!
What the Cobourg group don’t know is that our secret weapon, Pablo returns for a limited engagement. Toughened by Alberta rugby and the prairie tundra, he reports, he’s a new man. Autographed photos will be available in the clubhouse after the match.
Next Sunday, June 9th; we travel to Hamilton, for a fixture with the newly formed Hornets old boys squad; The Silverbacks. The game will take place at the Mohawk Sports Complex.
See you on the pitch Sunday, Da Thug

The pics say it all !
Good morning to all of you and here’s hoping your Victoria Day weekend is a bang!!
No game this weekend, but it all gets back on track next Sunday, May 26th as we head on over to the east end of Toronto to play the GITS. We will pass on the details, early next week.
Touch is on this Sunday in Burlington at 1pm.
Couple notes to pass on. I have been told that our finance department is ready to name, names and post a NOBS, s%&t list, for those who are delinquent in getting their 2013 subs in. Don’t make Rolf come looking for you!
The NOBS have started making plans for a World Cup, Rugby Tour to England in the fall of 2015. There are already quite a few names on the list, but we would like to hear from you if you’re interested. You can let our Pope, John Noble know either in person of at jnoble1@bell.net . or Craig Morley at ctmorley@cogeco.ca
Have a safe weekend, Da Thug
Folks, I have been asked this question a couple times this morning, so I thought I would set the record straight. Touch begins at the Cru tomorrow, but will continue as always in Burlington on Tuesdays and Thursdays and Sundays. On Tuesdays there are two sessions of touch running simultaneously in Burlington and Oakville, while Thursdays touch is only in Burlington.

Good Monday morning to everyone across the NOBS World. Chilly Monday morning start, 2c and a frost warning! Here’s hoping this reaches our tourists in Portugal and they let us know how it is going.
Word reached us last week from Red Deer Alberta that our mate Pablo is alive and well, playing for the Red Deer 3rd !! He will be joining us in June for a few games.

Thanks,

Good afternoon to everyone in the NOBS World. Just a quick update and more. We have news on the upcoming Peterborough Platinum Oldies, in an email below, from Kevin Sorenson tmlkevin@hotmail.com of the Krocks. Start making your plans.
Last Sundays game in Markham went a bit better from the one a week before at the Cru. There are no games over the next 2 weeks. Next game is May 26th in Toronto, for the GITS home opener. More information on this in the near future.
There is touch; as always this Sunday at 1pm in Burlington.
I have received a request from a higher order that our subs are now due. Word has it we may re-establish the s@#t list. Sleep better and get them in ASAP.
Touch is being run now outside every Tuesday and Thursday in Burlington. Still not sure if there is touch being run at the Cru on Tuesdays yet.
See you on the pitch, Da Thug
Hi all,
Just wanted to get the word out for the Peterborough Platinum Oldies day this summer. My name is Kevin Sorensen and I will be trying to fill the shoes of Sam Baker and Bruce Kidd and take the lead in running the tournament this year. The date has been set at August 17th so mark it in on your calanders as it should be a good one. As always this is an all comers event so please forward this to any individuals that might be interested or to the appropropriate contact at your club so that I might get an accurate contact list.
This years event will feature all of the great fun from the past:
Over 60's match
Over 50's match
Touch match (featuring the Peterborough Wicans Women's side)
Food, drink and friendly faces
New for this year:
Showers.......yes you heard it right.......the clubhouse will be up and running and is a beautiful sight.
I will be sending out more detailed information as the day approaches but please reply in the meantime to confirm contacts (or pass along appropriate club contact) and/or individuals that would like to be added to the mailing list.
I look forward to seeing all of you on August 17th,
Kevin Sorensen
Why is Nigel looking so grim? Is it the XL t-shirt? The beating he took last Sunday at standoff? Maybe it’s the fact he’s jetting off to Portugal with the Gray Hares rugby tour and he is going to miss this Sundays game in Markham or touch in Burlington at 1pm. Make sure you don’t miss out. Game in Markham or touch in Burlington. Both happen at 1pm; and the weather is looking good.
The Centaurs have sent along another reminder of their club day tomorrow, Saturday the 4th. Skills competitions, with teams made up, from young to old. It all gets underway at 11am, with a barbeque to follow.
See you on the pitch [somewhere], Da Thug
Just a reminder of the game this Sunday in Markham. 150 Austin Dr. kickoff is set for 1pm. I have received word from the Krocks that they will be sending down a delegation of players in preparation for the upcoming tour with the Grey Hares. Throw in a bunch of GITS and NOBS, and there will be quite the crowd! Legendary Markham referee Leon Racine will be handling the game.
