NOBS WORLD APRIL 30TH. "....AND SO IT BEGINS"

Good afternoon rugby fans all across the Nobs World.  Yes that’s what I said; and so it begins.  On this last day of April 2012, we stand on the threshold of another Nobs season.   This Sunday at 1pm in Markham another season begins.  Rugby; you remember it, the kind of game where you get to hang out with 29 of your mates and half of them want to knock you on your derriere,  and the rest hope they can just get a good whack in.  There’s a catch though.  You need to be registered to play, so if you’re not, get in touch with Chris Mant ASAP.  cmant@cogeco.ca.  Touch will continue on Sundays at 1pm in Burlington.  Starting tomorrow, May 1st there will be touch run in both Oakville at the Cru and in Burlington on Tuesdays.  Touch will continue in Burlington on Thursdays.  Don’t forget to bring along a white and dark jersey.  Later on in the week we will give an update on the Markham fixture.  On May 13th, Mother’s Day and May 20th, the Victoria Day weekend we have no tackle rugby games but touch will be run in Burlington.  Our first home game is May 27th when Peterborough comes to town to do battle.  Lots of running for everyone, so see you on the pitch, Da Thug

I agree with the doctor just because some of us are still wet from crossing the border swimming and we went incognito as miners, we deserve respect and recognition for our amazing skills in handling the ball

Good morning ladies and gentlemen.   I have been getting requests for the photos that appeared in the Hamilton Spectator on April 17th.  It seems that some people are having difficulty locating them at the Spectator website, so here you go.  Please don’t forget that tonight is the first of three registration dates.  Registration will also be this Sunday the 22nd and also next Thursday the 26th.  Our first fixture is May 6th.  Just another reminder that when you are coming out for touch to bring a light and dark jersey.  Da Thug

TOUCH UPDATE

Good evening folks, just a quick update on touch.  Things are underway Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.  What we are asking is that when you come out to bring along a white and dark jersey.  Now a bit of Nobs news.  On the first Thursday in March we were joined at touch in the dome by Ron Albertson, a photographer with the Hamilton Spectator.  Those photos are in today's [Tuesday] edition of the Spectator.  You can also check out the photos at thespec.com.  Check them out and we'll see you at touch, Da Thug
