NOBS WORLD AUGUST 9TH 2011
Good morning rugby fans. That’s what I said; rugby fans. You’ve heard about soccer this Friday, cricket this Sunday. Saturday the 20th it’s out on to the golf course; but this Saturday there are 2 options for rugby. At 10:30 am, we are taking on the Centaurs Alumni in Burlington. Our more senior Nobs will be travelling down the 401 to Peterborough to take part in the Platinum Oldies at noon. Lots of rugby for everyone so come on out. See you on the pitch, Da Thug

Good afternoon folks. I have received word from Larry Doyle to remind everyone about the upcoming Cricket match this Sunday; August the 14th. You won't want to miss this. Da Thug
Craig and Huw, would you kindly use your extensive resources to advise the NOBS and The Choir of the umpteenth reiteration of the NOBS Annual Cricket game at Sherwood on Sunday next August 14th. All NOBS and Choristers are invited, please come before 12.30 pm to get organised. Teams (loosely) are 'The Choir', managed and captained by Cye Beechy and Nigel Thorne, and the NOBS, managed and captained by Mel/Larry and Clarence Brown.
The game starts at 1.00 pm. There will be the traditional tea-break during the afternoon: please bring sandwiches in any form/or composition.
Everybody gets to bat. Everbody who wants to can bowl. Eleven players can field at any one time - which means that there will be unlimited substitution for fatigue, refreshments, etc.
Post game one hopes the bar stays open so we can tell everbody how well they played and how enjoyable it was. Yrs aye, Larry

Centaurs hosting the junior tournament and the Ontario Blues and Rugby
Canada.
Although the weather was hot the rain held off and the Centaurs were able
to showcase another great game at Sherwood Forest Park.

NOBS WORLD AUGUST 5TH
Good morning rugby fans; where ever you are in the Nobs World. Big weekend for rugby coming up. Tomorrow it's Canada vs. USA at BMO field in Toronto. Tickets are still available. There will be International games shown in Burlington at 9:30 am with the England vs Wales game being shown live and the Ireland vs Scotland at 11am, taped delayed. PLEASE NOTE. The game with the Senators has been "cancelled". We will be playing touch on Sunday at "NOON!!" in Burlington. There is a full slate of games that day going on capping things off with the Canada Coaches XV vs Ontario Blues at 3:30pm. Come on out and take part. Next Saturday we are playing the Centaurs Alumni team in Burlington at 10:45 am. The Platimum oldies are also going on in Peterborough that day and I know that a number of our older players will be going there to take part. I have been asked to let you know if your interested in car pooling let Jack Morrison know s.j.morrison@sypatico.ca . Before I forget, next Friday the 12th is soccer.
